Morrissey, the iconic solo artist and former Smith’s frontman has been performing week-long standing gigs on the West Coast. Auralgasms had the pleasure to see him in an intimate one-night stand ‘Theatre’ setting on October 19, 2007 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre.

Throughout the 90’s, Adam Franklin was the frontman behind shoegaze legends Swervedriver, penning such classic songs as “Duel” and “Never Lose That Feeling.” After some experimentation into space-folk territory with his project Toshack Highway, Adam is back with a solo album titled Bolts of Melody, a record full of melodic rock songs and trippy pschedelic instrumentals that is sure to appeal to Swervedriver fans. Zoë Johnston, the voice of Delerium, Faithless, Above & Beyond, and Bent, is considered one of the most prolific artists within the electronic/dance genre. This UK native mesmerized audiences with her notable hit Crazy English Summer, as heard on the Faithless album Outrospective, now provides an intimate musical portrait via her newly released solo album Happenstances released on Shiva Records. After ten years in the making and dedicated to her father, Zoë’s new solo release pays homage to her early influences ranging traditional folk music, classical music, and rhythm and blues. Former Catherine Wheel frontman, Rob Dickinson is currently on the road to support his new solo record, Fresh Wine For The Horses. He will be performing material from his solo debut as well as some Catherine Wheel classics.

Imogen Heap recently hit the limelight in the closing moments of two on-screen hits. Frou Frou's Let Go was the centerpiece of the closing scene of the Indie film Garden State. Her solo track Hide and Seek was featured in the closing moments of Season 2 of The OC.
Her new solo album Speak For Yourself, her first in 10 years, features Hide and Seek as well as standouts like Goodnight and Go and Just For Now.
Imogen recently took time out from her sold out solo tour to chat with Auralgasms about her career progression and the making of the new record.

Ether Aura is a Detroit area Dreampop/Shoegaze group schooled in the asthetics of bands such as Slowdive and Curve. Ether Aura features Ex-Caelum Bliss/Deathgirl.com memebers Tony Hamera on guitar and William King on drums. Sweatysuedelips guitarist/singer/songwriter Brett Haupt and the vocals of Kate Hinote round out the band. Their debut CD, Crash, can best be described as an eclectic blend of early 90's shoegaze, dark alt-country, dream pop, and garage rock.

Multi-instrumentalist Lynda Arnold released her debut album, Birth, which is a concoction of genre crossing beats mixed with Lynda's ethereal vocals and catchy lyrical style. Lynda uses her flute and piano chops throughout to album to embellish the layers of synths and effects.

Pete Schmidt has achieved a considerable buzz of late through extensive touring and word-of-mouth. However, with the release of his new record, No Safe Bet, much bigger things are in his future. The singer-songwriter's record has a definite "band feel" to it, calling to mind recent radio smashes from Train, Vertical Horizon and Athenaeum. Don’t just take it from me though. Having just completed a successful tour with Delerium, Harland recently provided me with an intimate look into her past, present, and very bright future. In the interview, she described her first solo album, Salt Box Lane, as "Songs with meaningful lyrics, driven by emotional strings and piano, with flavor crystals of electronic sounds and beats". Her latest single, "Above the Clouds", is a new Delerium track featuring Harland as the vocalist. It is available for download at www.itunes.com.

Delerium is in the final stages of their first ever U.S tour. On September 17, 2003, Auralgams attended their show in Detroit, MI. The show was incredible, featuring a great mix of old and new.
Prior to the show, Auralgasms spent some time with Bill Leeb, the driving force of Delerium. He shared his thoughts on the tour, the various collaborations he has done, and his take on the music downloading issue.
