Morrissey Concert Review

Imogen Heap recently hit the limelight in the closing moments of two on-screen hits. Frou Frou's Let Go was the centerpiece of the closing scene of the Indie film Garden State. Her solo track Hide and Seek was featured in the closing moments of Season 2 of The OC.

Her new solo album Speak For Yourself, her first in 10 years, features Hide and Seek as well as standouts like Goodnight and Go and Just For Now.

Ether Aura is a Detroit area Dreampop/Shoegaze group schooled in the asthetics of bands such as Slowdive and Curve. Ether Aura features Ex-Caelum Bliss/Deathgirl.com memebers Tony Hamera on guitar and William King on drums. Sweatysuedelips guitarist/singer/songwriter Brett Haupt and the vocals of Kate Hinote round out the band. Their debut CD, Crash, can best be described as an eclectic blend of early 90's shoegaze, dark alt-country, dream pop, and garage rock.

In the interview, she described her first solo album, Salt Box Lane, as "Songs with meaningful lyrics, driven by emotional strings and piano, with flavor crystals of electronic sounds and beats".
