From the first moments one slips anabret's CD into their player, the listener is engaged. There is more to do than listen... you experience the music as a full ethereal soundscape, with lyrics so smart and memorable that they play on in your head long after the music is ended. Paul Pitkin's voice is silken and enticing; and Paul Michael's drums are powerful, insistent, and dynamic.

Anabret is a new band with the drive and ambition that goes along with it, yet their talent and depth shine in songs that already reflect their mastery of passion and precision. They bring a new dimension to the realm of alternative rock.

I've listened to a lot of new bands that fall into the "alternative" category. I am most often unimpressed. Anabret is different. These guys just drip talent, making beautiful, moving, introspective rock. Don't pass these guys up!

I first heard of this band at the Hot & Coldplay site (which rocks). Anabret is a fab new band! After a few days of listening, I love their stuff. Very etheric and emotional. - Dave

Warm, powerful, gorgeous music. I love the lyrics. Their clips sound MUCH better from their own site (anabret.com) -- really lush and deep. I think I've found a new favorite.

Where has this band been all my life? Fabulous. And their lead singer has SUCH a sexy voice. ;)

Paul Pitkin has an amazing voice, incredibly emotive. There is a sincerity in anabret's lyrics that just takes the listener's breath away.

Anabret's music is very cathartic. I find it easy to lose myself in the emotion of their sound, and easy to find myself in the depth of their lyrics. I really recommend them. And the reviewer that talked about Paul's sexy voice is right. It's that real dreamy-sexy, like a fantasy lover.

Many commercially successful musicians could take a lesson from newcomer Anabret who make lushly melodic, entrancing pieces that harken real emotion.

Anabret's sound is reflective, beautifully poetic, and slightly melancholic. There's a certain soulful promise about this band that lead me to believe these boys will be hugely successful.

Easily one of the best bands I've heard in recent years...the new Seattle sound? It's good stuff.
