Similarities to the Jesus & Mary Chain aside, BRMC succeed in creating some great acoustic and electric sounds. They use simple chords and song structures to produce almost a "classic" rock sound. Their lyrics tend to be a little dark and depressing, but overall their music is uplifting and hopeful. Also, they're excellent performers, seeing them in concert is enough to convince serious rock music listeners of how good they are.

Wow....i hate to overplay the comparison and take away their own identitiyt, but really! This would be JMC's best album since Honey's Dead. I am really impressed. A good mix between the fuzzed out rockers and some laid back strumming. Excellent vocals too. I think they will be making quite a mark.
