Autour De Lucie's probably the most popular French band among Spanish Indie Pop fans, and that says A LOT. I'm no Spaniard myself, but regarding the endless pool of Indie talent that they have, i wish i was.

Gorgeous....ValΘrie Leulliot's vocals remind me quite a bit of Dominque Durand of Ivy, but sung in French, it has a whole different aura about it. The guitar work of Olivier Durand is killer, al a The Sundays, Smiths, or even at times, the Pretenders...

I am a big Lucie fan and I give their new LP 'Faux mouvement' a staggering 9/10. For me the best tracks are the impossibly romantic 'Je reviens', the sublimely hypnotic 'Lent', the wistfully melancholic 'La contradiction' and the luxuriously jangly 'Le salon'.
Once again Valerie Leulliot has proved to be utterly flawless and inconceivably cool- she is easily my favourite female singer/songwriter. Quite simply ADL are an awesome band- they have everything going for them, so why are they so criminally under-rated and consistently ignored by the sensationalist British music press.

Firstly let me say that this the greatest general music website that I have come across- I love reading all the comments about my favourite bands- it is like so there you all are- all the ADL fans, all the Etienne fans, all the Cocteau's fans under one roof.
Secondly, ADL are the best new band at the momen t and were for me the best secret of the 90s!
If you aint a Lucie fan then you are an uncool, unbeautiful, classlless, ordinary loser.
Face it kids Valerie is our Queen the new queen of indiedom and I bloody worship her.
So when are ADL gonna kick ass in the boring, conservative UK.
Come on Vava if you are reading this come to our sceptic isle and inject some grace, beauty and coolness into our dull music scene.

Lush and beautiful...Ivy, Smiths, The Sundays, and some Pretenders bass lnies (Ce que l'on tait ) in a blender. sometimes I wish the lyrics were in English, but it might lose some of its charm.

I first heard Autour De Lucie on a Nettwerk sampler, along with Delerium & the Wild Strawberries. It was pleasant enough, but didn't quite compare to how the Delerium track made me feel because I ran out and bought "Karma" the same week. I think there are some sweet vocals going on with this group, and the melodies are nice as well.

Regarding the brilliant Autour de lucie, does anybody know where I can find the chords for 'L'echappee belle' and 'Faux mouvement'- I would love to add more ADL songs to my songbook. Presently, me and some mates are thinking of starting our own psychedelic/acoustic/indiepop outfit 'The Ravens' yes and there is a song called 'Valerie'.
