This New York based songwriter is living her dream. Growing up listening to the Manchester sound, she was discovered by a UK label while opening for one of her heroes, Johnny Marr (The Smiths), in New York City. Angular Records, home to Bloc Party and Art Brut signed her up. She has drawn heavy praise in UK Magazines (NME, Dazed & Confused, Q) comparing her to a 'female Morrissey'. What's On in London named her the Voice of 2005. Harper will be peforming live in Brooklyn, NY at Tripnotica July 25. The event also featuring a live performance from Natalie Walker (Daughter Darling) will serve as the CD release party for the Auralgasms compilation CD, Breath of Stars.

Jersey born (and now Boston resident), Alexander Chen is the man behind all this beautiful noise. Chen was discovered by Markus and Micha Acher (The Notwist) leading to the recording of his 2004 debut, New Born. The 2nd CD Violet is a must for fans of Nu-Gaze like The Daysleepers and Radio Dept. Take one listen to the track, Where It Ends and you will be hooked.

This Brit Electronica group, once the launching pad for DJ Shadow, now consists of founder James Lavelle and producer Richard File. Their first record without DJ Shadow, Never Never Land, failed to match their early success despite collaborations with Ian Brown (Stone Roses, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Robert Del Naja (Massive Attack) and Mani (Stone Roses, Primal Scream). The new CD, War Stories will feature guest appearances by Ian Astbury (The Cult), Josh Homme (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age), Brody Dalle (The Distillers), The Duke Spirit, Chris Goss (Masters of Reality), Psycho Pab, 3D (Massive Attack and Autolux. The US release date for War Stories is set for July 24.

This quirky Norwegian Electronica band, featuring the vocals of Anja Oyen Vister, gained international attention in 2002 with their debut single, a cover of New Order's True Faith. 2 successful albums (For Sleepyheads Only, Morning Star) followed along with a couple of remix projects. In 2007, they haven't forgotten that covers gave them their start. The new CD, Personal Stereo includes a cover of Depeche Mode's See You, while the title track echoes the chorus of REM's The One I Love. Heavenly is another standout on the new CD.
