    Upcoming 2008 releases

What releases have you most excited this year?

The return of Portishead, MBV, Verve, Spiritualized, MBV, Bauahaus, JMC?

New ones from Goldfrapp, Martina Topley Bird, Moby, British Sea Power, M83, Doves, REM?

Courtesy of Stratosphere Jen, here is a nice list of release dates...feel free to chime in.

    Re: Upcoming 2008 releases

The one I'm looking forward to the most is the long-awaited Daysleepers LP. With just two EP's under there belt they've quickly become one of my favorite bands.

Then you have the follow-up to Tearwave's selt-titled LP coming out this year as well.  I'm excited to hear what they've got cooked up .

    lets see, what else....

oh yeah! ...new Massive Attack this year as well. I was a little dissapointed with "100th Window". Not that it's a bad release, but after delivering classic LP's in "Blue Lines" and "Mezzanine" the standards are pretty high. ...... I still think Tricky needs to return to the fold. ... but I'm not holding my breath!

I'm hoping that The Cure will deliver a good LP after the mostly-dissapoining "self-titled"  release of a few years ago.

Looking forward to the new Portishead LP as well. Once agian, "Dummy" is one of my all-time favorite LP's, so my standards for them are very high.Hope they deliver some quality music.
