Hey guys, I was just wondering what everyone's favorite act from the UK? Mine's either got to be Mark Ronson or Manic Street Preachers? Thoughts? So many bands do well over there and yet are still unknown over here (like Manic Street Preachers and the Doves).

I've been a long suffering Manics fans here in the States since Generation Terrorists.

Got to see them live once during the This Is My Truth tour...along with St Etienne, one of the most criminally overlooked UK bands here in the States.

Also Placebo...been wishing for a US tour for years (they came once but didnt hit Detroit).  Now they finally come packaged with...HIM, Linkin Park, Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance.

SERIOUSLY!?!??! UGH!

You mean I can only pick one?  giggle

The Verve and the Jesus and Mary Chain stand the test of time, but my newer favorite is probably The Editors.

Well, its a banner year for you then... Both JAMC and Verve reuniting!

It's definitely a good year Zumby!  Now if only I didn't live in Detroit, the doomed city that bands always skip on tour ... lol ... it's pretty bad that even The White Stripes don't stop in their hometown.

Arrrrrrgh! i think most of my favorite  bands  ARE from England.
