Kristy is kind of like Julianna Hatfield - she is better collaborating then solo. That said, i've really enjoyed her work for years since the Rose Chronicles days. She was one of the artists that got me into the whole Angelic Voices / DreamPop scene. I missed the chance to see her play in San Fran by 2 days. I'd love to hear from people that have seen her play.

The voice: Since the demise of the Rose Chronicles, Kristy has appeared vocally with great results on several projects including Delerium, Balligomingo, and Front Line Assembly. She had a great solo tune (Bounds Of Love) from the Kissed soundtrack, but i feared she had a become a "Peter Gabriel"...surfacing only on the occasional soundtrack or compilation. Runaway, the latest i have heard from her is one of her strongest tunes to date...Hopefully a solo album will be forthcoming!?!?

    Re: Kristy Thirsk Comments

I love Kristy Thirsk.  She is my all-time favourite female vocalist.  It was back in 2000 while watching Much More Music that I first heard her.  From that moment on I was hooked.  Her voice is healing to the soul.  God has definitely blessed Kristy with a wondeful talent;)  Although it was her work with Delerium that introduced me to her, it is her work with The Rose Chronicles (Richard Maranda/guitars, Steve van der Woerd/drums & Judd Cochrane/bass) that has become my absolute fave!  Kristy you rock!!!!

My fave Kristy/Delerium collaborations are:  "Flowers Become Screens", "Flatlands", "Wisdom", "Heavens Earth" & "Self Saboteur"

My fave Rose Chronicles songs are:  "Awaiting Eternity", "Hollow Sea", "Dwelling", "Glide", "Deirdre", "The Bottle Song", "Visions", "Forgotten", "Bruise", "Vicious Thorn", "Voice in Jail", "Ornament", "Heaven Tide" & "Spill"

My fave Sleepthief/Kristy collaboration is "Sublunar"

My fave solo Kristy songs are :  "Indifference", Runaway", "Hollywood", "In The Dream", "Imagination" & "Souvenir"

Ohhh. So Kirsty Thirsky is from Rose Chronicles??? I had no idea! I love Rose Chronicles but wasn't aware that their vocalist went on to any other projects. I'll have to check out some of her other work! Where's a good place to start?

Zack, well delerium is always a good place to start. She typically has 1-2 songs on every Delerium album, and they usually the best songs on those albums.  She also has 2 awesome tracks with Sleepthief and also appears on the Balligomingo album.  Other than that, i really LOVE her solo cd.  It's a little different then her collaborations because it is less electronic, but it's really good. I highly recommend it.
