I had the honor of seeing Kristy play last night with Delerium. I've been a huge fan since the Rose Chronicles and Flowers Become Screens, and yesterday I finally got to see her live. Her voice is truly unique in it's range, and it sounded great live.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Kristy before the show, and we will be posting a feature artice/interview with her soon. It was a delight talking with her, as she had a great combination of playfullness, introspection, and insight into her music.

Finally, I walked out with my copy of her latest CD - Souvenir, which should be available at The Kristy Thirsk Website soon. This CD is solid from top to bottom. There wasn't a single song on it that wasn't enjoyable - which is rare these days from most artists. I think you will be hearing a lot more from Kristy and her solo work in the very near future!

She is currently on the road with Delerium. Her solo debut CD, Souvenir is available at the shows, and will soon be available on-line and in Canadian Retail shops. The CD has easily exceeded my expectations. Standout tracks like Run Away, In the Dream, and Indifference have earned it a spot on my current favorites list (and a spot in my CD player).
