The reason why you will like Asobi Seksu might be for reasons unknown, it just seems right. The music reminds me of the story Robert Bly tells about the forest where the hunters go but they never come back; and then other hunters go searching for them, but they don't come back either. Then one day this lone young hunter appears and he asks if there's anywhere dangerous, new, and exciting around, and everyone tells him about the forest, but they warn him that nobody comes back. But he says, "No, no that's just what he had in mind."
So he takes his dog, just his dog, no one else, and he goes into the forest. And he walks and walks, and suddenly he comes to this pond. And this hand comes up out of the pond and grabs his dog and pulls him under. The dog is history, and the hunter doesn't get upset or hysterical or anything. He just looks up towards heaven and says, "This must be the place" That is sort of how the music of Asobi Seksu is like. You may never want to return home after listening to their music. You might just want to stay at the venue listed below in hopes they will play another set.
