    Don't laugh...

Caught EWF at a City Fair. Also, recall going to The Beach Boys at an early age.

Then coming into my own.... still could only go local and saw Gap Band with Zapp Band. My home town sucked for concerts (unless you liked country and hard rock).

Then finding my real feel and being mobile... 1st real concert, I guess, New Order with Echo & the Bunnymen and PIL. (actually, Echo was the headliner, I was there to see them but definitely NO, and it turned out due to delayed flights, Echo played before NO making NO the 'headliner'). Will never forget it. It was actually a 'rain check' concert. Chicago had been flooded out the week before - drove up for the show only to be turned away with a rain check cause O'Hare was flooded. Then we return for the show a week later, and a HUGE storm hits in the middle of Echo's set. They were doing Seven Seas when all hell broke loose. Trees were bent at 90 degrees, power went out a couple times. Lightning, rain and wind - unbelievable. Then things seemed to calm down and just rain til NO came out. Lightning picked up again and when they were doing Face-up the power went out and right back on again and they lost all synths... everything came back on in acoustic and Bernie sang the final part of the song in an octave lower than is normally sung.

I think it was Morrissey, by the time he was doing more stadium-size tours.  I have say, he was brilliant...LOL...but then I was a starry-eyed teen...

I caught Chris Cornell on his solo tour for "Euphoria Morning" at a relatively small bar in Ohio. Highlight of the show was when Cornell strapped on a guitar and sang "Fell On Black Days" by himself.
