This is a pretty cool idea actually. It would be great if it picked up a lot of traffic.

Ivy's website has something like that. You put in your zip code and it tells you the closet Ivy website member. It's a nice idea, but I never find anyone close to me, as it seems that site must not have a huge surplus of members.

there are things you are going to have to consider.
you might have to start specific, like do the auralgasms artists.

its a good idea though, maybe a side note thing, like a mention of were you might get drinks at before too.

Ever have this happen to you? Has your favorite indie band ever come into town and you were dying to see the concert, but you couldn't get anyone to go because all of your friends are stuck in the MTV generation.

Auralgasms is considering adding a feature that will bring people with similar music interests together. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow concert-goers in your area, or possibly a chance to spark a new romantic interest with a like-minded music enthusiast.

This feature is currently in the idea phase, and we are curious what you think. Would you use it? What features would you want it to have?

moonlark, there wasn't enough interest in this and we had decided to put our energy into other features.  this is still something that we might consider one day though...

I would fully support a "friend finder" program.  As another member stated in his post, "it's hard to find like-minded music interests."  Most people don't appreciate the genres of music that Auralgasms features and this would be the key to bringing people together that do!  Even if it is just something local (Detroit-Toledo area).  I'm all for it!
