british trip-hop at its finest, no doubt! if you appreciate Goldfrapp and Dido, you'll like Ms. Allison, too.

Fans of the former band, One Dove, should definitely pick up the solo album, of former vocalist Dot Allison. "Afterglow" is not a perfect CD, but there are definitely some highlights that make it worth laying the money down for though. Those who had high expectations for this album felt a bit let down, but since I knew nothing about it beforehand I was pleasantly surprised. The worst part about the cd is that the album starts out very strong and decreases from there. Best tracks are "Colour Me", "Tomorrow Never Comes", & "In Winter Still".

I really didn't like One Dove much, but Close Your Eyes is one of my favorite songs that I found on Auralgasms. Colour Me is enjoyable also.

I almost overlooked this myself...I picked this up about a month ago on a recommendation and hadnt really got a chance to listen to it. For the last two weeks I had been desperately trying to find out who sings this new female trip hop song I'd been hearing. Was it Hooverphonic? Lamb? Esthero? Olive? Turns out I owned it all along! Colour Me by Dot Allison...Also check out White Love by her former band One Dove.
