Akin to Coldplay. Not as likely to grab the airwaves though. If a track did happen to grab some time though, it would most likely be Believer. Apparently they made quite a stir in Belgium, but then again Germans love David hasselhoff, so i wouldnt put too much stock in that. Listen and judge for yourself. I like them, however there are better bands out there doing the same thing.

Jasper Steverlinck's vocals are achingly beautiful, elegant and pure - rare qualities in today's music scene.

The songs themselves are anthemic - full of emotion, melodic and well-crafted, and the lyrics have a unique poetry about them.

Combine all this with unorthodox tempo changes such as those employed in the song 'Life' and you have a real gem of an album.

    Prepare to be enchanted!

ARID - since I first heard them I was blown away! I totally agree with Jo Dawson (she said it so beautifully). You should check them out. They're much better than Coldplay. I don't even understand why people compare them! The singer's voice is incredible. Even though it is not comparable to the genre of music, he's got the power, and also the talent that Freddie Mercury had. He can do pop, rock, but also opera if he wants. Trust me - they are worth your money. Buy their album, or go see them in concert when you can. You will wonder how you could ever do without them...

Totally blew me away, after seeing them live for the first time in June 1999, I'm addicted ever since! The vocals, the lyrics, the music, they just get to you and don't let go! Can't wait for their new album to come out.

This is a great band with great hits like "life" and especially "too late tonight". But the best song is still, for me although: "Dearly departed". Just listen to the voice of Jasper Steverlinck and be amazed!!

This is probably the best album Jeff Buckley never recorded-- and that's not a bad thing. Each song is so packed with emotion though that after a listen-through you might get a little worn out. In response to the other comments; this album may not be as original as Radiohead's latest, but it is definately more intriquing than Coldplay's. Check out the title track for the album's best offering.

I really liked this album from the first time I heard it, and now, a year and a half later, I still have it in my cdplayer. I can highly recommend it!

    do this.
    think about the things
you feel are important in your life.
    music maybe??
    now stop thinking,
    start feeling.
    arid,
    real like poetry,
    cool as sex.
    with an intensity.
a bit heavy maybe,as in moody.
    but red as grace,
    with a heart shaped mind.
    an escort to there,
where you are wild and cry
    your honey tears,
    slow and sweet.
    so sweet

Pleasant sounding groups. Manages to sound a little like RadioHead while still offering a unique twist. I will definately be checking this group out.
