I normally have a hard time commenting on an artist after a few 30 second samples. But, in the case of The Autumns, I can say that I will definately be checking out more from them. They have a great sound. The Garden Ends sounds like a great song already - and i've only just heard the sample! Can't wait to hear more.

A band that still continues to inspire me, with depressingly gorgeous melodies sailing over an oceanful of sound. What's more is that the live shows bring the dense sound of the albums with no extra overdubs. They prove that shoegaze bliss can be still achieved with just two guitars(Lead singer Matt has a split on his into two separate effect lines/amps. Drummer Steve also plays in Midsummer, another phenomenol band that creates dreamscape journeys devoid of any pop structure yet are complete sonic pictures.

the autumns posses a genius talent
for combining ethereal textures with wonderfully profound melodies into a blissful metamorphosis seem to burrow into consciousness and unconsciousness alike
