When I first discoverd Asobi Seksu, the first thing I thought was, "Klaatu, Barada, Nikto" those immortal words that toggled off the robot Gort in the movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still". When that movie was made, robots were just the stuff of fiction, just like the idea of an American Band featuring a Japanese frontwoman Uber Hottie who sings half of the songs in Japanese, but hey, not any more. Robots are now a reality and so is Asobi Seksu. You should really attend the concert and watch them perform. We speak of exploration in terms of going to Mars, etc, but believe me, adventures come in all shapes and sizes. I often wonder about those unsung heroes of the past-like the prehistoric gourmet who captured the first lobster and said, "I'm going to eat this thing" or the first hearler, who picked up a scalpel and said, "Let's operate" Sometimes an adventure can be found by simply going to New York, going to Sin-e' at 9:30 pm on Friday night, the 13th of February and watching this sexy Japanese Uber Hottie sing, while the rest of the band blend with her like a cream sauce on Calico Bass.
