The lyrics to Heavens Downward are so fitting. "I could lose myself in this..." The aim of Au Revoir Borealis is to write songs that share and encourage while being big, epic, and intensely emotional. It’s kind of like listening to a mini-soundtrack.
A review of their live show reads:.
“All of heaven came down…as Au Revoir Borealis sang their wares in orchestral fashion with masterful precision and artful grace. Smooth rhythms with soaring ribbons crying unearthly heights. Rich depths anchoring soul in solid heartful footings. Crashing, clashing, hammering beats of ferocious precision resonating hearts to captured unison. Sweet vocal lyric expressions leading bold charge to heaven’s gate to plea His grace. ....Heaven answered”

Start with that voice - a voice that someone described as "a hot rock wrapped in velvet." Now, place that voice in a strikingly beautiful young woman. Sprinkle in breathtaking live shows, and what do you have? An act that is both talented and seasoned. And most importantly, an act that moves people with passionate, thoughtful music.
Fisher has just released their third album, a double CD they have been working on for the past year. Uppers & Downers is a musical ride. The uppers are the upbeat tracks that make you dance and sing, a treat that will pleasantly surprise Fisher fans. And the downers are, of course, the songs that make listeners feel, those "reactive" songs that Fisher have become known for.
This album is a celebration of professional perseverance and musical growth. Fisher is BACK and ready to reach out to fans old and new with this new album. Something for everyone. What more could you ask for?

Cinematic and darkly seductive, Hotel de Ville is the musical vehicle of composer and vocalist Rhett Brewer. Echoes of Portishead and Sigur Ros or Goldfrapp and Dead Can Dance give way to the distinctive sound that is Hotel de Ville. Taking inspiration from 60’s French pop, operatic intrigue and film noir, Hotel de Ville blends Brewer's other-worldly voice with classical instrumentation and down-tempo percussion. Bittersweet melodies hover above orchestral urgency. Overwhelming elation and desperate heartbreak become bed-fellows, in this refreshing and softly intense work. Enjoy your stay!

Lovespirals first album, Windblown Kiss, embrases numerous genres to create a uniquely lush brand of dream pop flavored by slow-burning blues, loungey jazz, and Flamenco-spiced folk built around the beautiful melodies by former Love Spirals Downwards bandleader Ryan Lum's dreamy acoustic and electric guitar, combined with jazzy chanteuse Anji Bee's lovely and versatile vocal work. Romantic, spirtual and utterly heartfelt, Windblown Kiss envelopes one in a soothing dream-drenched world, full of nostalgia and beauty.

Silverman has charted high and consistently at MP3.com, ClickMusic and Besonic. They also won an audience poll by US portal Streamsearch.
Speed Of Life Part 2 is not strictly speaking a debut and - complex, refined and mature - it doesn't sound like one. Caustic, cruel duet Ctrl Alt Del will remind you of Gainsbourg and Birkin, or Cave and Kylie, with music courtesy of, perhaps, Massive Attack. "Can I have my heart back, please?" has you thinking of a tormented Cocteau Twins, with a broken Anna's sad request buried beneath a wave of brutal electro-noise. Themes include sex, death and lingering pain, though the sex is (tellingly?) not gender-specific.
These are "proper" songs, superbly written, beautifully performed and backed with cultured and soulful soundscapes that place Silverman alongside such contemporary greats as Low, Portishead and Sneaker Pimps. Listen and understand.
